15+ years in enterprise IT · Delivered remotely · Written scope before work starts · Direct access to the consultant

Why businesses in United States ask for this

US businesses face security questions from customers, cyber-insurance carriers and, depending on the industry, regulators. Many insurers now ask about multi-factor authentication, tested backups and endpoint protection at application or renewal, and privacy obligations differ from state to state.

The NIST Cybersecurity Framework is a widely used reference for prioritising improvements. Services here are advisory: they are not compliance certification, an audit opinion or legal advice.

Who we work with

Small and mid-sized US businesses (roughly 10 to 250 people) such as professional-services firms, agencies and software companies that run on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace and do not have a senior infrastructure or security person in-house.

How remote delivery works for United States

All work is delivered remotely over video and secure remote access; there is no US office. Consultations are offered 14:00–22:00 IST on weekdays, which is roughly 04:30–12:30 US Eastern in summer (03:30–11:30 in winter) and roughly 01:30–09:30 US Pacific. In practice that suits East Coast mornings well; West Coast clients usually work with early-morning calls plus written updates.

Not sure you need a large IT project?

You can start with a focused assessment, understand what needs attention, and decide what to do next.

Start with a fixed-scope assessment such as an IT Health Check, Microsoft 365 Security Review or Backup Health Assessment. You receive written findings in priority order, then decide whether to fix things yourself, ask for help remediating, or stop there. Larger implementation work is scoped and agreed in writing separately.

Why work with an independent consultant

  • 15+ years of enterprise IT experience, including roles at IBM, Wipro, Varian Medical Systems.
  • You deal directly with Koustov Choudhury, who scopes the work and is accountable for it.
  • Written scope, deliverables and exclusions before any work or payment.
  • Practical recommendations in priority order, not a sales pitch for products.
  • Remote delivery with secure, limited access, and no claim of a local office or staff.

Badges are shown as issued by the awarding organisations and verified through Credly. Some older Microsoft certification tracks have since been retired by Microsoft.

Questions from businesses in United States

Can you work with US time zones?

Yes, within limits. Calls are offered 14:00–22:00 IST on weekdays, which falls in the US morning on the East Coast and very early morning on the West Coast. Written findings and async updates cover the rest.

Can you help us answer a cyber-insurance questionnaire?

A short assessment can show which controls (MFA, backups, endpoint protection and so on) are actually in place so your answers are accurate. We do not fill in forms on your behalf or guarantee an insurer's decision.

Do you provide HIPAA, SOC 2 or other compliance certification?

No. Services are advisory technical reviews. Certification and formal audits are performed by accredited third parties, and nothing here is legal advice.

Can Solutions4IT provide remote IT consulting to a US-based business?

Yes. Work is delivered remotely over video and secure remote access, with written findings. There is no US office, and scope is agreed in writing before anything starts.

Can I hire an independent IT consultant instead of an MSP?

For assessments, second opinions, projects and senior advice, often yes. An MSP is built for day-to-day helpdesk coverage. Many businesses use both: a consultant to assess and plan, and a provider or internal team to run things daily. A first assessment will show which you need.

What types of IT infrastructure problems can be reviewed remotely?

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace configuration, backup and recovery setups, cloud environments, network and firewall settings, server health and documentation. Anything that needs someone physically on site is outside the scope.
